Interesting 1950s abstract gouache on paper by well-known Polish/French artist Willy Mucha (1905-1995).
Born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, Mucha studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He traveled throughout Europe in the 1930s, participating in the Spanish Civil War and later, after settling in Colliure, France, served with the French Resistance in World War II.
He settled in Colliure following World War II, becoming well-known as a stained glass window designer, illustrator, and painter.
Mucha's work is in the collections of the Centre Pompidou, among others.
Offered in good condition (paper is mounted to backing).
